Mae darn o ymchwil diweddar a gyhoeddwyd yn y British Medical Journal (BMJ) wedi dod i\u2019r casgliad bod oedi wrth drin canser yn gysylltiedig \u00e2 chynnydd mewn marwolaethau o bob achos.<\/p>\n

Ers dechrau'r pandemig Covid-19, mae mynediad cleifion i driniaeth canser wedi'i ohirio mewn llawer o leoliadau gofal iechyd ledled y byd, ac mae hyn wedi arwain at bryder ynghylch canlyniadau anfwriadol mesurau rheoli pandemig i gleifion canser.<\/p>\n

Er bod nifer o astudiaethau wedi'u cynnal yn fyd-eang ar y berthynas rhwng oedi wrth drin a marwolaethau, roedd ymdrechion modelu wedi'u rhwystro gan ddiffyg tystiolaeth byd go iawn o ansawdd, felly cynhaliodd y t\u00eem ymchwil adolygiad adolygiad cynhwysfawr<\/a> o 34 o astudiaethau sydd eisoes yn bodoli ar draws saith prif fath o ganser.<\/p>\n

Dangosodd y canfyddiadau fod pob oedi o bedair wythnos rhwng diagnosis a llawdriniaeth yn gysylltiedig \u00e2 chynnydd cymharol 6-8% ym mhob achos o farwolaethau.<\/p>\n

Mae'r mathau o ganser sydd wedi'u cynnwys yn yr astudiaeth yn cynrychioli 44% o bob achos o ganser<\/a> yn fyd-eang. Roedd yn cwmpasu pum canser cyffredin; canser y bledren, y fron, y colon, y rectwm a'r ysgyfaint; canser ceg y groth, sef y pedwerydd canser mwyaf cyffredin ymhlith menywod; a chanser y pen a'r gwddf; a chanfuwyd, ar gyfer pob un o\u2019r saith math o ganser, bod oedi o bedair wythnos mewn triniaeth yn gysylltiedig \u00e2 chynnydd yn y risg o farwolaeth.<\/p>\n
