An earlier date of Net Zero emissions by 2040 has been set as a stretch target.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Reduzierung unserer Treibhausgasemissionen bringt uns, unseren Kunden, Lieferanten und der Gesellschaft insgesamt erhebliche Vorteile. Eine Basislinie hilft uns bei der Bewertung unserer Kohlenstoffbilanz und der Wirksamkeit von Reduktionsinitiativen, indem sie einen Vergleich zwischen einer Ausgangsposition und der tats\u00e4chlichen Situation nach den Interventionen erm\u00f6glicht.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In measuring energy use and calculating GHG emissions, Vanguard adopted the principles of the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, including the operational control method. The company began collating a quantified carbon footprint for the 2021 baseline year with support from an independent specialist, Carbon Manager, Bath, UK. This 2021 baseline assessment was an initial carbon footprint exercise rather than a full organisational audit; Vanguard screened and reported against the data available at the time, including 7 of the 15 Scope 3 categories, with the intention of broadening the scope and improving the accuracy of data collection and emissions calculations in subsequent reporting years.<\/p>\n<figure Intensit\u00e4tskennzahlen, sofern nicht anders angegeben, auf standortbezogenen Scope-2-Emissionen. Hinweis: Das Basisjahr 2021 und das Berichtsjahr 2025 sind nicht direkt vergleichbar, da die Abdeckung der Scope-3-Kategorien von 7 auf 12 Kategorien erweitert wurde. Der scheinbare Anstieg der absoluten Emissionen und Intensit\u00e4tskennzahlen seit 2021 spiegelt im Wesentlichen diese Erweiterung des Scope-3-Bereichs und nicht allein eine Verschlechterung der betrieblichen Abl\u00e4ufe wider.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Emissionsreduktionsziele<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Um unser Ziel der Klimaneutralit\u00e4t bis 2045 zu erreichen, haben wir uns folgende Ziele zur Reduzierung der Kohlenstoffemissionen gesetzt:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bis 2027: Zwischenziel 100% der Bereiche 1 und 2 zu Netto-Null<\/li>\n<li>Bis 2030: Zwischenziel: 1001 TP3T der vom Unternehmen verantworteten Emissionen auf Netto-Null reduzieren.<\/li>\n<li>Bis 2035: Zwischenziel: 351 TP3T der Emissionen, auf die das Unternehmen Einfluss hat, auf Netto-Null reduzieren.<\/li>\n<li>Bis 2040: Zwischenziel: 601.300 Tonnen der Emissionen, auf die das Unternehmen Einfluss hat, sollen klimaneutral werden.<\/li>\n<li>Bis 2045: Ziel: Reduzierung der Emissionen, auf die das Unternehmen Einfluss hat, auf Netto-Null.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emissions \u201cunder the control of the business\u201d comprise Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions together with those Scope 3 emissions arising directly from Vanguard\u2019s own operational decisions and activities. Emissions that the business can only influence relate primarily to wider value-chain activities within Scope 3, including purchased goods and services, capital goods, transport and distribution, and other supplier-related emissions. While Vanguard does not have direct operational control over these activities, we recognise our responsibility to work collaboratively with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders to reduce associated emissions. Interim and long-term targets are measured against the 2021 baseline year and are intended to be achieved by the end of the stated target year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Reduzierung des CO2-Aussto\u00dfes im Zusammenhang mit Aktivit\u00e4ten in jedem der drei Bereiche wird von Vanguard weiterhin diskutiert, untersucht und vorangetrieben.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1031\" height=\"655\" src=\"https:\/\/www.q-bital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/06\/CRP.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.q-bital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/06\/CRP.png 1031w, https:\/\/www.q-bital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/06\/CRP-300x191.png 300w, https:\/\/www.q-bital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/06\/CRP-768x488.png 768w, https:\/\/www.q-bital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/06\/CRP-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1031px) 100vw, 1031px\" \/><\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Reduzierung der Emissionen der Bereiche 1 und 2 (standortbezogen) im Jahr 2025 im Vergleich zum Vorjahr ist haupts\u00e4chlich auf einen geringeren operativen Fu\u00dfabdruck, eine verbesserte Nutzung tats\u00e4chlicher Lieferantendaten in bestimmten Bereichen und aktualisierte Emissionsfaktoren zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Projekte zur Kohlenstoffreduzierung<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die folgenden Umweltmanagementma\u00dfnahmen und -projekte wurden seit dem Basisjahr 2021 abgeschlossen bzw. umgesetzt:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ISO 14001-Zertifizierung (einschlie\u00dflich Energieaspekte).<\/li>\n<li>Im Oktober 2022 haben wir die Beschaffung von reinen Benzin-\/Diesel-Firmenwagen eingestellt (100% der Firmenwagen sind jetzt elektrisch oder hybrid).<\/li>\n<li>Im M\u00e4rz 2025 starteten wir gemeinsam mit Tusker ein Gehaltsumwandlungsprogramm f\u00fcr Elektrofahrzeuge (das Programm erzielte im ersten Jahr im Vergleich zu benzinbetriebenen Fahrzeugen Einsparungen von ca. 24,5 Tonnen CO\u2082). Ziel f\u00fcr 2030<\/li>\n<li>Wir haben in Manningtree, Hull und Australien auf erneuerbare Energien (100%) umgestellt. Gloucester wird derzeit teilweise mit erneuerbaren Energien versorgt; die Umstellung auf einen vollst\u00e4ndig erneuerbaren Stromliefervertrag ist bei Vertragsverl\u00e4ngerung geplant.<\/li>\n<li>Die Trennung wiederverwertbarer Abf\u00e4lle von Deponien ist an allen Standorten verpflichtend.<\/li>\n<li>Wir unterst\u00fctzen weiterhin hybrides Arbeiten und f\u00f6rdern die fortgesetzte Nutzung virtueller Meeting-Plattformen.<\/li>\n<li>Wir ermutigen unsere Mitarbeiter, sich nach M\u00f6glichkeit gemeinsame Verkehrsmittel zu teilen und bieten Verg\u00fcnstigungen f\u00fcr den Weg zur Arbeit mit dem Fahrrad an.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Unsere Ziele zur Reduzierung des CO2-Aussto\u00dfes werden vom oberen Management und dem Aufsichtsrat genehmigt und unterst\u00fctzt.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bei der Entwicklung unserer Strategie streben wir eine schrittweise, aber kontinuierliche Verbesserung unserer Leistung jedes Jahr an, indem wir erg\u00e4nzende Ma\u00dfnahmen wie die folgenden umsetzen:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Umstellung der Stromversorgung von Gloucester auf 1001 TP3T erneuerbare Energien durch Vertragsverl\u00e4ngerung (Ziel: 2. Halbjahr 2027). Abschluss eines zertifizierten \u00d6kostromvertrags (REGO-gesichert oder gleichwertig) und entsprechende Aktualisierung der marktbasierten Scope-2-Berechnung.<\/li>\n<li>Abfall minimieren und bis Ende 2026 das Ziel verfolgen, keinen Abfall mehr auf Deponien zu entsorgen.<\/li>\n<li>Arbeiten Sie eng mit wichtigen Lieferanten zusammen, um qualitativ hochwertige Prim\u00e4rdaten zu erheben und von kostenbasierten Berechnungen zu lieferantenspezifischen Daten \u00fcberzugehen:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(i) Ermittlung der zehn gr\u00f6\u00dften Lieferanten nach gesch\u00e4tztem Beitrag zu den Scope-3-Emissionen der Kategorien 1 und 2.<\/li>\n<li>(ii) Bis zum dritten Quartal 2026 sollen allen zehn gr\u00f6\u00dften Lieferanten Anfrageschreiben zur Lieferantendatenerhebung zugestellt werden.<\/li>\n<li>(iii) Zielsetzung, bis Ende 2026 Prim\u00e4remissionsdaten von mindestens 5 der 10 gr\u00f6\u00dften Lieferanten zu erhalten.<\/li>\n<li>(iv) Energie-\/Kohlenstoffdaten in neuen und verl\u00e4ngerten Vertr\u00e4gen vorschreiben<\/li>\n<li>(v) Ab dem Berichtsjahr 2026 sollen j\u00e4hrliche KPIs zur Reduzierung der Emissionen der Kategorie 1, ausgedr\u00fcckt in absoluten tCO\u2082e, festgelegt werden. Dies kann zur Entwicklung pr\u00e4ziserer Ziele f\u00fchren.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Integrieren Sie Nachhaltigkeitsaspekte in die Lieferantengespr\u00e4che und ber\u00fccksichtigen Sie die ESG-Leistung und -Pl\u00e4ne bei der Auswahl neuer Lieferanten.<\/li>\n<li>Wechseln Sie zu kohlenstoff\u00e4rmeren Materialien oder Technologien.<\/li>\n<li>Methoden und Gestaltungsoptionen entwickeln, um kohlenstoff\u00e4rmere, klimaneutrale und Netto-Null-Geb\u00e4udeangebote zu unterst\u00fctzen, wo dies technisch und wirtschaftlich machbar ist.<\/li>\n<li>F\u00fchren Sie ein Audit zur betrieblichen Effizienz von mobilen und modularen Geb\u00e4uden durch (geplanter Abschluss: 4. Quartal 2029); ver\u00f6ffentlichen Sie die Ergebnisse und setzen Sie im darauffolgenden Berichtsjahr priorit\u00e4re Effizienzma\u00dfnahmen um.<\/li>\n<li>Verfolgen Sie Daten und berichten Sie regelm\u00e4\u00dfig \u00fcber den Fortschritt unserer Bem\u00fchungen in allen unseren Unternehmensabl\u00e4ufen.<\/li>\n<li>Energy consumption associated with Vanguard's mobile and modular units in operation is likely to represent a material Scope 3 Category 13 (Downstream Leased Assets) source. At present, however, energy consumption data for these units is not available to Vanguard, as utility procurement, metering arrangements and energy management are typically controlled by the host healthcare provider. As a result, we do not currently have a sufficiently robust basis on which to quantify these emissions. We acknowledge Category 13 as a known reporting gap within the Carbon Reduction Plan and will undertake a technical benchmarking exercise in 2027 to assess the feasibility of estimating energy consumption and associated emissions for representative unit types. Zertifikate werden erst dann als Beitrag zur Nettobilanz betrachtet, wenn sie unabh\u00e4ngig verifiziert und formell stillgelegt wurden.
