Das eigene Personal des Trusts wird sich auch um die Patienten vor und nach ihrer Operation k\u00fcmmern. Dies bedeutet, dass die Patienten weiterhin in einem lokalen Akutumfeld behandelt werden. Au\u00dferdem m\u00fcssen sie w\u00e4hrend der Sanierung keine langen Wege zu alternativen Krankenhausstandorten zur\u00fccklegen.<\/p>\n

\n Orthop\u00e4dische Eingriffe gefragt\n<\/h3>\n

Die mobilen OP-Einheiten werden vorrangig f\u00fcr orthop\u00e4dische Eingriffe genutzt. Diese Eingriffe z\u00e4hlen zu den gefragtesten Operationen im modernen britischen Gesundheitssystem (NHS) mit \u00fcber 240.000 Operationen im Jahr 2016\/17. Das entspricht einem Anstieg von \u00fcber 20.000 Eingriffen im Vergleich zum Vorjahr. Da die Lebenserwartung steigt und die Bev\u00f6lkerung gleichzeitig \u00e4lter wird, d\u00fcrfte die Nachfrage nach diesen Eingriffen weiter zunehmen.<\/p>\n

Surrey und Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust haben diesem wachsenden Bedarf Rechnung getragen. Als proaktive Ma\u00dfnahme setzten sie mobile Einheiten ein, um einen R\u00fcckstau an Patienten auf der Warteliste zu verhindern.
