{"id":2221,"date":"2019-07-04T09:20:08","date_gmt":"2019-07-04T09:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.q-bital.com\/?p=2221"},"modified":"2019-07-04T09:20:08","modified_gmt":"2019-07-04T09:20:08","slug":"managing-patients-with-challenging-behaviour-for-day-surgery-use-of-a-q-bital-healthcare-solutions-mobile-operating-facility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.q-bital.com\/nl_nl\/managing-patients-with-challenging-behaviour-for-day-surgery-use-of-a-q-bital-healthcare-solutions-mobile-operating-facility\/","title":{"rendered":"Het begeleiden van pati\u00ebnten met uitdagend gedrag voor dagchirurgie; gebruik van een mobiele bedieningsfaciliteit van Q-bital Healthcare Solutions."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Overzicht<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We hebben de opname van 3 pati\u00ebnten geregeld, omdat hun gedrag mogelijk een risico vormde voor het personeel en andere pati\u00ebnten.<\/p>\n<p>De pati\u00ebnten hadden leer- en geestelijke gezondheidsproblemen en hadden een dagbehandeling met de tandarts nodig, onder algehele anesthesie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Voorbereiding<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De planning omvatte eerste bijeenkomsten tussen de verzorgers van de pati\u00ebnten, het tandheelkundige team, anesthesisten, de hoofdverpleegkundige voor leermoeilijkheden en de beveiliging van het ziekenhuis. Vervolgens bezochten de verzorgers van de pati\u00ebnten het ziekenhuis om het voorgestelde pad te doorlopen en mogelijke triggers voor uitdagend gedrag en risico&#039;s van dergelijk gedrag te identificeren.<\/p>\n<p>Er werd een plan gemaakt voor het aanpakken van gedragsproblemen. Hierbij werd onder andere de beveiliging bewust gemaakt van de noodzaak om direct beschikbaar te zijn bij opname.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mogelijke problemen<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wachten<\/li>\n<li>Onbekende omgeving<\/li>\n<li>Onbekende mensen<\/li>\n<li>Nauw contact en interventies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Het plan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Er werd besloten om pati\u00ebnten tijdens de opname te isoleren door gebruik te maken van een mobiele operatiekamer van Vanguard, die een eigen directe toegang tot de anesthesieruimte heeft vanaf de parkeerplaats. De anesthesie-inductie zou bij twee opnames op de grond plaatsvinden, op de eigen dekens van de pati\u00ebnt, omdat de pati\u00ebnten zich daar veiliger voelden. Bij \u00e9\u00e9n opname werd een schepbrancard gebruikt en bij de andere opnames een hoverjack-luchtlift.<\/p>\n<p>Intraveneuze inductie van anesthesie voor elk geval met veilige vasthouding door verzorgers van de pati\u00ebnten. De operatie duurde 1-2 uur en pati\u00ebnten werden door het anesthesieteam in de anesthesiekamer hersteld.<\/p>\n<p>Na herstel werden de pati\u00ebnten direct naar hun eigen vervoer gebracht, dat buiten de operatiekamerdeuren klaarstond.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resultaat<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ondanks de aanvankelijke zorgen verliep elke opname veilig en zonder problemen. We waren van mening dat het gebruik van een Vanguard-operatiekamer en hulpmiddelen om deze bewusteloze pati\u00ebnten van de vloer te tillen, nuttig was om een succesvol resultaat te bereiken in potentieel lastige omstandigheden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#160;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Gepubliceerd met dank aan Consultant <\/em>Anesthesist<em>.
