Hieronder vallen ook ingrepen die onderdeel zijn van het geplande \u2013 of &#039;electief&#039; \u2013 zorgtraject, zoals heup- en knievervangingen. In 2016 registreerde de Britse National Joint Registry 210.364 heup- en knievervangingen, vergeleken met 156.325 heup- en knievervangingen geregistreerd in 2011. Dit soort procedures vormen een groot deel van onze aantallen orthopedische procedures. Ze vinden plaats in Q-bital-faciliteiten in de NHS op het vasteland en ook in Ierland.<\/p>\n<p>Traumazorg komt steeds meer in de publieke belangstelling naarmate het bewustzijn over de uitdagingen waarmee de NHS wordt geconfronteerd groeit. Traumazorg, een specialiteit die vaak nauw verbonden is met orthopedie, vindt ook plaats in Q-bital-faciliteiten die vandaag de dag actief zijn binnen de NHS.<\/p>\n<h2>Hoe helpen Q-bital-theaters?<\/h2>\n<p>Orthopedische operatiekamers vereisen voldoende ruimte voor de grote hoeveelheid apparatuur die nodig is om gewrichtsvervangingen uit te voeren. Het openen van het bot verhoogt ook het risico op infecties op de operatieplek. Daarom hebben de operatiekamers in onze mobiele operatiekamers een flexibele interne indeling om het klinische personeel zoveel mogelijk ruimte te bieden. Q-bital operatiekamers die orthopedische zorg verlenen, zijn ook uitgerust met laminaire flowventilatie. Dit type luchtsysteem levert een snel bewegende, gerichte luchtstroom vanuit een kap boven de operatietafel, wat betekent dat er elk uur 600 luchtverversingen over de pati\u00ebnt gaan. Op deze manier verspreiden besmette deeltjes zich snel uit het risicogebied. Dit minimaliseert de kans op infectie.<\/p>\n<p>De cijfers in onze proceduretelling zijn uitsluitend afkomstig van mobiele faciliteiten waar leden van het klinische team van Q-bital werken. Dit betekent dat het totale aantal procedures nog hoger is.
