\n Surrey and Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust maakt gebruik van mobiele operatiekamers om de continu\u00efteit van de zorgverlening te waarborgen.\n<\/h3>\n

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust heeft twee mobiele operatiekamers ingezet om de toegang tot zorg voor pati\u00ebnten te garanderen tijdens de renovatie van twee van hun vaste operatiekamers.<\/p>\n

Ze zullen het klinische team van het ziekenhuis een functionele klinische omgeving bieden terwijl de operatiekamers buiten gebruik zijn. De mobiele operatiekamers, die zijn uitgerust met laminaire luchtventilatiesystemen voor ultraschone lucht die geschikt is voor invasieve chirurgische ingrepen, zullen ongeveer 26 weken op locatie aanwezig zijn.\n\"A\nTerwijl de eenheden bij de Trust zijn, zullen de NHS-chirurgen van het ziekenhuis alle operaties uitvoeren. Het eigen personeel van de Trust zal ook voor pati\u00ebnten zorgen voor en na hun operatie. Dit betekent dat pati\u00ebnten behandeling blijven krijgen in een lokale acute setting. Het vermijdt ook de noodzaak voor hen om tijdens de renovatie lange afstanden af te leggen naar alternatieve ziekenhuislocaties.<\/p>\n

\n Er is veel vraag naar orthopedische procedures\n<\/h3>\n

De mobiele operatiekamers zullen voornamelijk capaciteit bieden voor orthopedische ingrepen. Dit zijn enkele van de meest gevraagde operaties binnen de moderne NHS, met meer dan 240.000 ingrepen in 2016\/17. Dit is een stijging van meer dan 20.000 ten opzichte van het voorgaande jaar. Naarmate we langer leven en de bevolking vergrijst, zal de vraag naar deze ingrepen naar verwachting alleen maar toenemen.<\/p>\n

Surrey en Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust hebben met deze groeiende behoefte rekening gehouden. Als proactieve maatregel hebben zij mobiele units ingezet om te voorkomen dat er een achterstand ontstaat op de wachtlijst. Deze blijvende toegang tot een essenti\u00eble dienst zal pati\u00ebnten helpen een snellere behandeling te krijgen voor vaak pijnlijke en levensbeperkende aandoeningen.<\/p>\n

De eenheden arriveerden op zaterdag 1 september in de vroege ochtenduren bij het ziekenhuis, waardoor de verstoring van de locatie tot een minimum werd beperkt.
