H\u00f6lls hos Glasgow Golden Jubilee sjukhus<\/a> och v\u00e4rd av medicinteknisk organisation Vanguard Healthcare Solutions<\/a>, evenemanget tittade noga p\u00e5 flexibla infrastrukturstrategier f\u00f6r att hj\u00e4lpa NHS-styrelser \u00f6ver hela landet att uppfylla kraven f\u00f6r att minska den tid som m\u00e4nniskor v\u00e4ntar p\u00e5 diagnostiska och kirurgiska ingrepp.<\/p>\n

Evenemanget samlade seniora fastigheter, ledning och kliniker fr\u00e5n hela Skottland och h\u00f6lls dagen efter tillk\u00e4nnagivandet av ytterligare finansiering av den skotska regeringen i ett f\u00f6rs\u00f6k att f\u00f6rkorta v\u00e4ntetiderna f\u00f6r personer som f\u00e5r medicinska ingrepp.<\/p>\n

H\u00e4lsostyrelser har tilldelats cirka 27 miljoner pund i initiala investeringar som en del av en strategi p\u00e5 850 miljoner pund f\u00f6r att ta itu med problemet.<\/p>\n

Planen f\u00f6r f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttring av v\u00e4ntetiderna tillk\u00e4nnagavs i oktober f\u00f6rra \u00e5ret och syftar till att "avsev\u00e4rt och h\u00e5llbart" f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra v\u00e4ntetiderna f\u00f6r m\u00f6ten inom \u00f6ppenv\u00e5rd och slutenv\u00e5rd, s\u00e5v\u00e4l som dagfall, senast v\u00e5ren 2021.<\/p>\n

Hon sa: "Den skotska regeringen inser den \u00f6kande efterfr\u00e5gan p\u00e5 hela h\u00e4lso- och v\u00e5rdsystemet och har utf\u00e4rdat en f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttringsplan som fokuserar p\u00e5 hur l\u00e4nge m\u00e4nniskor v\u00e4ntar p\u00e5 dessa procedurer.<\/p>\n

\u201cVi har i m\u00e5nga \u00e5r samarbetat med h\u00e4lsov\u00e5rdsmyndigheter \u00f6ver hela Skottland f\u00f6r att anv\u00e4nda tillf\u00e4llig infrastruktur, s\u00e5som mobila avdelningar, endoskopi och operationssalar, som ett genomf\u00f6rbart och kostnadseffektivt s\u00e4tt att skapa den extra kapacitet inom b\u00e5de operationssalar och slutenv\u00e5rd som sjukhusen beh\u00f6ver.\u201d<\/p>\n

Deltagarna fick ocks\u00e5 h\u00f6ra fr\u00e5n Alan Ward och Kenny Oliver fr\u00e5n Raigmore Hospital i Inverness, som har anv\u00e4nt en Q-bital-enhet f\u00f6r att \u00f6ka kapaciteten inom ortopediska ingrepp och br\u00f6stprocedurer, samt en tillf\u00e4llig akutmottagning, i flera \u00e5r.<\/p>\n

De f\u00f6rklarade att deras erfarenheter av att anv\u00e4nda en Q-bital-enhet p\u00e5 dessa s\u00e4tt hade varit extremt positiva och hade hj\u00e4lpt dem att arbeta med h\u00f6gre kapacitet.<\/p>\n
