När Q-bital Healthcare Solutions expanderar över Europa och över Australien tittar vi på några av affärshöjdpunkterna från 2021, från vår första anläggning i Sverige till expansionen av våra modulära tjänster i Australien.
Q-bital has delivered and installed four bespoke and fully equipped surgical rooms to the
Norra Älvsborg County Hospital
in Trollhättan.
The facility has been installed as the emergency department of the hospital is closed for a period of refurbishment. This department was essential in delivering around 9,000 emergency operations annually and could not remain closed without an interim solution.
The facility includes four operating rooms and corresponding recovery rooms, two storage rooms, disinfection rooms and a corridor connecting the modules together. This is the second clinical infrastructure solution provided by Q-bital in Sweden, paving the way for future projects.
A dual-procedure room facility has been designed and installed by Q-bital at
Prince Charles Hospital
in Australia to assist in rising demands for additional clinical capacity. The fully-equipped endoscopy facility includes a decontamination suite and a mobile eight-bed recovery ward.
The facility is open 5 days a week and is projected to treat around 450-500 monthly colonoscopy patients across the two rooms. The use of modern methods of construction to speed up the process has enabled the hospital to quickly address capacity concerns, reducing the number of individuals waiting for routine endoscopy procedures.
Through the introduction of modular facilities, Q-bital was able to successfully deliver their first mixed-modality solution at
Derriford hospital
in Plymouth, UK.
The bespoke solution consisted of modular and mobile operating rooms and wards that were designed, built, and installed by Q-bital. Operating 5 days a week, the facility provides additional ophthalmological capacity for the hospital to carry out an additional 200 monthly procedures, allowing Derriford hospital to directly address the extensive elective care backlog.
Q-bital is looking to deliver similar bespoke solutions to healthcare providers across Europe in the coming year.
