Q-bital Healthcare Solutions arrives in Australia and appoints Country Manager

< Back to news
Peter Spryszynski has been appointed to be the Country Manager for Q-bital in Australia.

With a fleet of mobile facilities including operating rooms, endoscopy suites, day surgery, endoscope decontamination, central sterile services and hospital wards. Q-bital’s parent company Q-bital has successfully been delivering clinical infrastructure and knowledge to extend capacity, control the clinical pathway, and provide uninterrupted patient-focussed care across the UK and Europe for the past 20 years.

Healthcare systems in Australia are increasingly feeling the pressures of population surge; an ageing hospital infrastructure in need of redevelopment; and hospital facilities in need of technical upgrades and refurbishment. To meet these demands whilst maintaining the delivery of high-quality patient care, innovative solutions are required such as those provided by Q-bital.

David Cole CEO of Q-bital Healthcare Solutions commented,

“I am delighted to confirm that we have decided to establish a self-supported subsidiary in Australia. We have already successfully delivered our first contract in the country at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, allowing the clinical team there to undertake major cardiac surgery whilst the hospitals existing room underwent repairs. The Alfred Hospital were delighted with the service and described the solution as “innovative” and said the installation of the room saved numerous patients from waiting weeks or months for their procedures.”

Peter Spryszynski has been appointed to be the Country Manager for Q-bital in Australia.

Spryszynski has spent more than 7 years in various senior management roles at Siemens Healthcare Pty Ltd, most recently as General Manager, Advanced Therapies - Pacific and Regional Sales Manager in the state of Queensland.

Originally studying at the University of Sydney, gaining a Bachelor of Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiography, Spryszynski went on to spend 10 years working as a Radiographer in various healthcare facilities in Australia. During which time he also completed a Masters in Health Science (Medical Radiation Science) at the University of Sydney.

In 2007, Spryszynski moved across to work in the commercial healthcare sector at Philips Healthcare and in 2013 took up tenure at Siemens where he has undertaken multiple strategic management roles.

Peter brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in healthcare infrastructure and services. Professionally, Peter is affiliated to the Marketing Institute and Fellow of the Institute of Manager and Leaders.

“Peter is ideally suited to become Country Manager for Q-bital Australia” says David Cole, CEO Q-bital Healthcare Solutions. “He has a breadth of experience and relationships with healthcare leaders and business partners across the country”.

“What especially makes Peter stand out is his passion for understanding the clinical needs of our customers and delivering complex projects”, Cole adds. “Put simply, he has an excellent understanding of the challenges faced by hospitals across Australia and works in partnership to create innovative solutions”.

Spryszynski, who takes up his new role on 12th August, says he is looking forward to building on the tremendous success of the first Q-bital Australia contract that recently completed at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, which utilised a Q-bital mobile operating room for a period of 8 weeks to carry out open heart surgery while an existing room was close for repairs.

He points out that the Q-bital solutions have had over 20 years of success in Europe including extensive use in NHS hospitals and similar demand drivers exist in the Australia market for the provision of these services. “I am committed to creating a business here in Australia that is tailored to meet the needs of the local health systems, whilst ensuring the facilities and service provision remains at the high standards the European business is known to deliver.

Q-bital will be launching at the IHEA Healthcare Facilities Management Conference 2019 at the ANZ Stadium Sydney on 9th and 10th October 2019.
