Q-bital are part of the Q-bital Group.  Q-bital EU was established in 2020 and is based in The Netherlands, with a growing team. Our purpose-designed and built modular and mobile facilities provide our clients with new or replacement Operating Theatres, Wards, Endoscopy Suites and Decontamination and diagnostic units.

We are currently seeking a proactive and results-driven Commercial Lead - NL to join our dynamic sales team. Working hybrid with occasional visits to our European head office in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our growth and diversification strategy.

The Commercial Lead for the Netherlands is responsible for providing commercial management and contract administration support to the Sales and Operational teams. The Commercial Lead coordinates with Group Commercial to recommend mitigation on contract terms and conditions, when required. The post holder will be responsible for the commercial delivery of all European contracts from pre-contract through to practical completion, in line with the Group’s expectations.

The role entails travel across Europe, necessitating periods away from home. The postholder will be expected to attend meetings and visit customer sites outside of standard working hours as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor all correspondence to protect company interests and pursue contractual entitlements
  • Foster team spirit for effective communication and timely reporting of forecasts and payments.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures at all times
  • Conduct monthly contract reviews and report turnover/profitability progress
  • Resolve subcontract/supply chain problems through negotiation to prevent disputes
  • Demonstrate strong management skills
  • Collaborate with Operations Lead on contractual claims and responsibilities
  • Develop and grow the supply chain while promoting financial control measures
  • Forecast cash flow and margin recognition for projects
  • Implement project commercial strategy in line with company expectations
  • Use relevant order documentation when contracting with subcontractors
  • Assist in managing and forecasting factory overhead costs
  • Maintain accurate Forecast Final Accounts for client presentation
  • Prepare claims for contract variations and negotiate with clients and supply chain
  • Manage Risk and Opportunity and present financial feedback to Estimators
  • Maintain professional relationships with the supply chain and clients to increase project profitability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, finance, or related field
  • Proven experience in a similar design and build commercial role, within the construction sector
  • Strong understanding of contractual agreements and legal requirements
  • Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and track expenses effectively
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Flexibility in traveling with occasional business trips away from home
  • Healthcare and or manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Experience of supply chain management is preferred
