Q-bital completes two new room installations for Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital, Launceston – helping to future-proof patient care

< Back to news
Q-bital Healthcare Solutions is pleased to announce the installation of two new modular operating rooms at Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital in Launceston, marking a significant milestone in strengthening surgical capacity for Northern Tasmania.

Calvary’s decision to install these facilities demonstrates their commitment to maintaining high-quality surgical care for the Launceston and Northern Tasmania community.

The new state-of-the-art modular rooms will support urgent, short-term, and long-term surgical needs, enabling the hospital to maintain clinical output during refurbishment works and respond flexibly to fluctuations in demand.

Peter Spryszynski, Country Manager for Q-bital Australia, said the project highlights the critical role modular healthcare infrastructure plays in supporting hospitals to expand or protect capacity without disruption.

“The installation of the two new modular rooms at Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital represents a significant step in safeguarding surgical services for the Launceston community. Our modular solutions are designed to integrate seamlessly with existing hospital infrastructure, allowing private and public operators alike to continue delivering essential care during refurbishments, upgrades, or periods of increased demand.”

The rooms have been purpose-built to meet Australian healthcare standards, providing a fully compliant, high-specification clinical environment equivalent to a permanent facility. Delivered through Q-bital’s proven design, manufacture, and installation processes, the modular units are engineered to minimise disruption to hospital operations while accelerating project timelines.

Mr Spryszynski added, “Q-bital is proud to be a leader in the manufacture and installation of modular healthcare facilities across Australia. Our expertise enables hospitals to rapidly increase clinical capacity in a safe, efficient, and fully compliant way - whether responding to emergencies, managing infrastructure upgrades, or addressing growing patient demand.”

For Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital, the project represents an important investment in the long-term sustainability of surgical services in Northern Tasmania. By introducing additional room capacity, the private operator can continue meeting the region’s surgical needs while maintaining high standards of patient care.
